Brighter Future: A Study on Solar in U.S. Schools, 2nd Edition

Written by The Solar Foundation, Generation 180, and the Solar Energy Industries Association, this comprehensive report explores the current state of solar deployment on K-12 schools nationwide and includes analyses and case studies.

There are now over 5,000 schools across the country with solar installations. These schools are saving money on electric bills, educating students about clean energy, and ensuring a brighter future for the next generation. A dramatic decline in the cost of solar panels — combined with new financing options — has now made solar widely accessible, creating tremendous untapped potential among the majority of our schools still without solar. Notebook of Nebraska Schools’ Solar Installations

All Nebraska K-12 schools that install a photovoltaic system at their schools are invited to contribute information about your project for a digital notebook. With your permission, these will be posted on this website page and shared with the Nebraska Environmental Trust. The Trust invites grant awardees to share news and photos with them about our programs and projects and the organizations and people with whom we collaborate.
